Fear is temporary

I would like to share my experience of fear.

Well let’s start small.

I had been to Singapore for vacation and did all the possible adventure sports.

I always felt I fear none of the rides untill I was getting prepared to jump off a 6/7 storied hieght.

I was all exited and climbing the tower like a happy child.

Just about I reached the top wearing the harness and looked down. 😱

I was told not to hold the harness but just the jacket suspended to it.

As I looked down and I was instructed to put one foot out, the count down would be called out 3 2 1 and I am not supposed to jump just wait.

That was the moment I was unsure, the girl who was in the line before me backed out and said she wouldn’t want to do it.

I asked the instructor to give me a moment consume the fact that I would be jumping off from such a height.

Finally I put my foot out and heard 3 2 1 and I was pushed.

I landed on my bum 😂 laughing.

And somehow I wanted to do it again…

Well here I knew there was a harness, I wouldn’t fall off, get hurt or any of those, yet that moment it felt dangerous.

All I want to say here is fear remains a fear only until it’s faced, it may not go away but the intensity reduces.

The unknown becomes known, may be the next time I do it, I’ll land on my feet 🙂

We are made to survive and we can get over any fears, just the leap is to be taken, just the matter of knowing it remains.

Life is an adventure and we may have to sit on those crazy fearful rides but in the end there is no roller coaster that lasts forever.

In the end when the roller coaster stops, we know we can do it again and may be this time with lesser fear.

So like the famous quote goes face your fears and live your dreams…
